ProStart II
This Nationally certified, competency based program cover all facets of the industry and includes instruction in: food preparation, customer service, and business management. Skill areas will include, but not limited to Breakfast Food & Sandwiches, Nutrition, Cost Control, Salads & Garnishing, Purchasing & Inventory, Meat, Poultry, & Seafood, Marketing, Desserts & Baked Goods, Sustainability in the Industry, and Global Cuisine. Students also learn guest relations and the importance of customer service. Students rotate through production and service stations while serving the community at the Sunset Cafe, our on-site restaurant, and will be able to earn the ServSafe Food Manager and ServSafe Allergen Certifications.
Students must be have attained an average grade of a "C" or better in Prostart I CTE 9672- Prostart I, along with instructor recommendation, to be eligilbe for this class.
