Overview

Under the supervision of the Transducer Lab Manager, performs technical testing of ultrasound transducers and determines needed repairs. Records test results and other data into a computerized business system. This position is also responsible for inspection of mechanical parts and purchased parts prior to them entering inventory.

Compensation:$15/Hour

Prerequisites:Manufacturing or Robotics (IC or CETC)

  • Performs mechanical and electronic tests of ultrasound probes to determine fit for use, and insure electrical safety
  • Diagnose problems with probes and determine what type of repairs are needed to return them to usable condition
  • Receive, disinfect and clean incoming probes
  • Follow all policies and procedures regarding clean work areas and environmental issues.
  • Adhere to quality system standards and procedures, and ensure customer requirements and needs are met
  • Continually seek to improve processes and workflows

Education & Certifications

  • HS diploma or concurrent enrollment in a relevant CTE pathway — manufacturing, electronics, etc.
  • IPC Certifications preferred

Experience

  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Extensive experience using small hand tools on small scale products

Competencies & Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and capable of learning new software programs
  • Good oral and written communications skills
  • Competent in using calipers and micrometers to measure parts
  • Ability to work in a highly regulated medical device environment; high attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and documentation skills
  • Natural problem solving skills initiative to bring solutions to management
  • Works effectively with minimal supervision; self‐motivated, proactive, and resourceful
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and work in a rapidly evolving environment
