Agricultural Sciences

Agricultural education is for students desiring to learn about the science, business, and technology of plant and animal production; preparing students for successful careers and a lifetime of informed choices in the global agriculture, food, fiber, and natural resources systems. Through agricultural education, students are provided opportunities for leadership development, personal growth, and career success. Instruction is delivered through three major components: classroom/laboratory instruction (contextual learning), Supervised Agricultural Experience programs (work-based learning), and the student leadership organization (National FFA Organization).

Program Requirements:

  • Students should be at 9th grade level in reading, writing, math, and science to be successful in all Agriscience program courses.
  • All students will develop personal, leadership, and career skills through FFA participation.
  • All students will develop and maintain an individual Supervised Agriculture Experience Program and maintain online records through The AET.
