EKG Fundamentals

This course provides instruction for interpretation of EKG strips, anatomy and physiology of the heart, using three-lead monitoring as a guide. Twelve-lead EKG will be discussed and performed, focusing on each wave and interval of the complex, the axis, and the 12-lead presentation of some rhythm abnormalities. Students will have the opportunity to certify as an EKG Technician through the national test.
