Anatomy and Physiology for Health Care
This course builds upon concepts learned in biology while focusing on human anatomy and physiology and is intended for students interested in the healthcare field. Through lecture, labs, and dissections, students will learn how the structures of the human body (anatomy) function and maintain homeostasis (physiology), as well as the pathophysiology of common diseases and injuries. All twelve human body systems will be covered, as well as the different types of tissue and cell chemistry. Students will have the opportunity to work with the award-winning "Anatomy in Clay" curriculum.
