This Agriscience experience will focus on both animal and plant sciences. Explore these career pathways through hands-on experiences including: starting your own plants to take home; practicing handling, grooming, and taking vital signs of live animals; learning proper injection, suturing, and bandaging techniques in common animals; and much more! If you are interested in animals or agriculture, you are sure to have an amazing experience exploring this pathway!

Automotive Technology

If you are into cars and trucks, then this camp is for you! During this informational and hands-on four-day experience, students will move through a series of stations where they will learn and perform a variety of tasks associated with the maintenance and diagnosing of components and systems of current generation vehicles. Students will also participate in some exciting science-based activities that focus on the engineering behind these systems.

Health Careers

In this camp, students will explore four critical pathways within the medical field: Sports Medicine, Medical Assisting, Nursing Assistant, and Emergency Medical Technician. Designed to provide students with a broad exposure of the skills and knowledge necessary in these medical fields, students will participate in a series of hands-on labs and activities set in a fun and safe environment!

Advanced Manufacturing Academy

Make your future! Join the Advanced Manufacturing Academy for a week of creating projects that will introduce you to the world of manufacturing. In this camp, students will discover the skills that comprise the key factors of product fabrication from start to finish. This includes designing, machining, electronics, and welding. Students will use their creativity and critical thinking skills to design and manufacture several take-home projects, including a name plate, soldering project, and spinning top. On the last day of this camp, students will tour one of our local manufacturing partners to experience this pathway in action! If you are ready to learn how things are made and then actually make them, join us for a week of manufacturing.

Welding and Fabrication

Welding is an essential component of many industries and welders help to build that world that we live in! In our Welding and Fabrication camp, students will develop an understanding of the various processes, positions, and materials utilized in modern welding and fabrication. Students will learn how to properly set up welding equipment and participate in stations where they will learn and practice proper welding techniques. Additionally, students will explore how properly set up and utilize a plasma cutter.

Pre-Law/Mock Trial

Ever thought about becoming a lawyer or representing a client in court? In this fast-paced camp—modeled after the preparation process used by CETC’s award-winning mock trial team—you’ll learn how to present a real mock trial from start to finish, guided by the team’s coach and one of its student members. Over four days, students will explore how the legal system works, study practical legal principles, craft opening and closing arguments, and learn how to question witnesses—or take the stand themselves. Perfect for students who enjoy speaking up, thinking critically, and working as a team to win their case!
