Welding and Fabrication II
Welding and Fabrication II students will have the opportunity to further develop and refine what they learned in Level I. They will practice utilizing different materials such as mild steel, stainless, and aluminum and their proficiency will be assessed through both visual and destructive testing techniques. They will identify the physical and mechanical characteristics of these metals, demonstrate pre and post heating, and identify equipment and filler metals utilized in these processess. Throughout the year students will have the opportunity to work on and create more advanced welding projects for the community as well as enage in the SkillsUSA student organization.
FRCC: WEL 1004 - Basic Shielded Metal Arc II & WEL 1010 - Advanced Shielded Metal Arc I **These are Front Range Community College classes taught at CETC and require a separate enrollment and registration process for all students.**
