Introduction to the Law

Designed to give students a broad overview of US law, this course introduces basic legal topics and thinking critically through fast-paced, highly interactive, and fun discussions, debates, and activities. Here, students build confidence as they learn how to read and analyze court decisions and statutes, perform legal research and write memoranda, and prepare and act as attorneys in mock trials and arguments. Units include Constitutional Law, Torts (civil wrongs), Criminal Law, Contracts, Business Law, and Ethics.
