Middle school students toured Career Develpment Center. Freshmen can take Agriscience, Health Sciences, Culinary, Engineering and Manufacturing classes at CETC.
Students in the Career Elevation and Technology Center Engineering Technology class created a catapult using Solidworks software. The catapult must shoot a plastic golf ball 15 to 25 feet using variable launch capabilities. Students could only use PVC pipe and trampoline springs. The total project could only be 2 feet by 1.5 feet.
The Career Elevation and Technology Center’s Intro to Agri Science Class did an animal systems unit project, which offered students the opportunity to bring their own animals and teach their classmates.
Career Elevation and Technology Center Exploration of Health Care class practices infection control techniques. After completing the Health Care class, student are ready for Nursing Assistant, Dental Assistant, Medical terminology and EMT classes.
Career Elevation and Technology Center CNA students complete Clincals at Longmont United Hospital and Manor Care of Boulder. These high school seniors have the opportunity to receive a CNA certification after completing 1 semester of classwork and clinicals at Career Elevation and Technology Center. Career Elevation and Technology Center ProStart Culinary Arts Program catered breakfast for svvsd district high school and middle school principals and assistant principals. Culinary arts will be hosting a prime rib luncheon December 11th from 10:30-1:00 at the Sunset Cafe in the Career Elevation and Technology Center building.
