Animal Science
An advanced science-based course designed to introduce students to the production and management of agriculturally important animals. Students will understand industry and scientific terminology, analyze and identify external and internal plant anatomy and physiology, including: nutritional needs, health, disease, and genetic influences, reproductive methods and faclity management. Students will use species-specific evaluation and selection methods and will study concepts and principles of agriculture in society, revise their career and educational goals, enhance personal leadership, and career skills, and evaluate their progress and plan for achievement through continued work within their SAE.
