I’m Yvonne Justice, and I’ve been teaching for 19 years, all of them here at the Career Elevation and Technology Center, where I teach ProStart 1 and ProStart 2. Before becoming an educator, I worked as a pastry chef, so it’s safe to say I have a true love for food—and yes, I still love to eat sugar! One of my favorite things about traveling is exploring local cuisine and discovering new foods and flavors. I especially enjoy traveling with my husband of 34 years and our two kids, Jada and Stone. When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me taking walks with my dog, practicing yoga, skiing in the winter, or gardening in the summer. One of the things I love most about teaching at the Career Elevation and Technology Center is being surrounded by colleagues who genuinely care about the success of every student. It is incredibly rewarding to watch students create something from scratch and see the pride and joy on their faces. I love that we have the opportunity to inspire and empower students by connecting classroom learning with real-world industry experiences and career opportunities.
