Beginning January 14th and running through May 13th, 2027, CETC will be hosting an ACE Mentorship Program, a free after-school program for students in grades 9–12 interested in Architecture, Construction, and Engineering (ACE). Students will meet on Thursdays from 4–6 p.m. at CETC and work alongside industry professionals to explore these careers through a collaborative design project and present their completed projects to industry at the end of the experience.
There are some great benefits for students, including:
– Industry connections and mentorship from professionals who can share their experiences and help students explore and connect to future careers.
– Scholarship opportunities for seniors and opportunities for paid summer experiences.
– Practical experience with design, planning, problem-solving, teamwork, and presenting ideas.
– A chance to connect with students from across the district who share similar interests.
As we develop our upcoming construction program, ACE is an exciting early opportunity for students to explore the broader world of construction, architecture, and engineering. It can help them discover where their interests fit – from the skilled trades, to design, and project management – and start building relationships with people in those fields.
